Pinehurst Park July, 1916
Pinehurst Park during the early 1900's was the place to be for summer entertainment. The park was ultimately destroyed, trees included, during the famous hurricane of 1938. After World War II the Pinehurst Drive-in was constructed and was consequently torn down in the 1980's and replaced with the industrial park. Akeson Field, located behind the industrial park still remains.
