The above picture depicts a time when Street Cars were a more popular mode of transportation then the automobiles of today. The three story house in the in the center of the picture belonged to one of the Faulkner's, who's relations operated the Faulkner Mills and founded the Faulkner Hospital. The monument in the center of the picture was dedicated in memory of Charles H. Kohlraush Jr. and has since been moved to the intersection of River Street and Boston Road. Blocked by the street car was a water trough and pump which was also move to the same location. |
